The Influence Of Appendage Vibration On The Pointing Accuracy Of A Dual-Spin Satellite

Mark C. Stabb* and A. L Schlack**

Abstract

The equations of motion for a class of flexible dual-spin satellite are developed and solved in an approximate manner in terms of analytic functions of time. An extension to the Krylov-Bogoliubov-Mitropolsky perturbation method is employed to obtain the solution. The effects of various system parameters on the overall motion of the spacecraft are examined, and potential uses for techniques developed are discussed.
